Besher Shami: A Unique Presentation of Warfarin-Associated Aortic Perforation
Besher Shami, Resident Physician at Berkshire Health Systems, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in JACC, adding:
“Excited to share that our manuscript entitled ‘Contained Juxtarenal Aortic Perforation in the Setting of Severe Warfarin-Associated Coagulopathy’ has officially been published in JACC: Case Reports!
We report a patient who presented with abdominal pain and was found to have a juxtrarenal aortic perforation likely secondary to severe warfarin-associated coagulopathy, despite having no prior history of structural aortic abnormalities.”
