Walaa Abuelmagd: Honoring Excellence and Inclusion at the EHA 2026 Congress
Walaa Abuelmagd, Insight Expander at Diversity Pays off More Than You Think, Inc, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Attending the European Hematology Association (EHA) Congress for the first time, and I’m truly inspired.
There is something special about being surrounded by so much passion, curiosity, and commitment to advancing hematology.
The opening ceremony was particularly touching.
Celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion through the DEI award, and honoring Dr. Claire Harrison with the Lifetime Achievement Award, was deeply meaningful.
What resonated with me the most were her reflections, and especially her advice to her younger self.
Her words on being brave enough to start, even when you don’t know where the journey will lead… building communities, not just projects… and remembering that lasting change is always a team effort, these truly stayed with me.
Now looking forward to the days ahead, learning, listening, and connecting with so many brilliant minds in the field.”
