Tobias Degsell: Building Stronger Bridges Across Disciplines, Countries, and Perspectives at EHA 2026
Tobias Degsell, Founder of Combiner AB, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Yesterday I had the honour of giving two presentations at the European Hematology Association (EHA), one during the Annual General Meeting and one at the National Societies Dinner.
Although the formats were different, the core message remained the same: what it really takes to unlock true excellence in medicine, in practice, not just in principle.
With nearly 18,000 participants, the congress is an extraordinary meeting place for science, ideas and collaboration. What stands out most is the shared urgency across disciplines and countries to translate knowledge into better outcomes for patients.
I am deeply grateful to the EHA leadership and all delegates for the warm welcome and thoughtful engagement. A special thank you to Candice Gregorini for reaching out and inviting me, and to Helen Parker for her generous support on site. She showed me around and made me feel truly welcome, despite her many other responsibilities.
Most of all, I am leaving with a renewed appreciation for the power of collective effort in medicine. Progress happens in dialogue, in curiosity, and in the willingness to continuously improve how we work together.
Thank you to everyone I have had the opportunity to meet and speak with. I look forward to continuing these conversations and building stronger bridges across disciplines, countries and perspectives, all in the shared pursuit of better care for our patients.”
