Sonal Sonu: Who Are the Donors We Need the Most?
Sonal Sonu, Senior Resident at AIIMS Bathinda, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Who are the donors we need the most?
Every donor matters.
- The first-time donor who takes the first step.
- The regular donor who keeps returning.
- And the relapsed donor who once donated faithfully but hasn’t come back in a while.
As blood bank professionals, we celebrate all of them.
But relapsed donors hold a special place in our hearts.
They have already donated 3, 4, 5 times or even more.
They know the impact of blood donation.
They have already helped save lives.
These are not lost donors.
They are heroes waiting to come back.
Life gets busy. Responsibilities change. Time passes.
But the need for blood never stops.
To every relapsed donor:
- We remember you.
- We appreciate you.
- And we would love to welcome you back.
Because once a donor saves a life, they remain a hero forever.”
