Mayka Sanchez: Advancing Rare Anemia Research at the EIC 2026
Mayka Sanchez, Associate Professor and Senior Group Leader at International University of Catalonia, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We were delighted to participate in the 2026 European Iron Club meeting in Dublin, sharing our latest research on rare hereditary anemias and iron metabolism.
Our group presented an oral communication on Congenital Dyserythropoietic Anemia type IIIb (CDA IIIb), highlighting recent advances in the understanding of this rare disorder.
In addition, Marta Rámila Carreño presented a poster showcasing ongoing work from our team.
It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from across Europe, discuss new discoveries in the field of bioiron research, and strengthen existing collaborations.
Congratulations to all participants for an excellent scientific meeting!”
