Alliah Czarielle Formalejo: Loving People Without Defining Them
Alliah Czarielle Formalejo, Community Manager, Columnist at Bionews, Inc., shared a post on LinkedIn:
“One of the most important lessons I’ve learned from being part of a hemophilia family is about something much bigger than the rare bleeding disorder.
It’s this:
The people we love don’t owe us the version of themselves we imagined.
Whether we’re parents, partners, managers, mentors, or advocates, it’s easy to build a picture of what someone else’s life should look like.
But people aren’t projects. They aren’t here to fulfill our expectations.
They’re here to become fully themselves.
That idea is what inspired my latest column, written during Pride Month but ultimately about something much broader: what it means to love people without trying to define them.”
