The first ever Mobile Stroke Unit in Greece is on its way to Metropolitan Hospital — and it will be a reality within the next few months.
Yes, you read that right. A fully equipped stroke unit, on wheels, bringing life-saving diagnostics and treatment directly to the patient — before they even reach the hospital.
The countdown has begun.
And as Benjamin Franklin once said… ‘By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.’
Today, we had the privilege of visiting the Mobile Stroke Unit operated by ILS Mannheim in collaboration with the University Hospital Mannheim — a state-of-the-art initiative that is redefining the way we respond to stroke emergencies.
We did not go as observers. We went as a team, with a mission.
Our incredible group brought together the best of clinical and operational expertise: the Neurology team of Metropolitan Hospital, Nikolaos Bitsos, our dedicated Project Manager, and colleagues from our Sales and Operations teams at Siemens Healthineers Razan Daoud, PMP, Sebastian Bär.
Different roles, one shared purpose.
Together, we asked the right questions, challenged the workflows, and left Mannheim with a clear vision of what we are building back home.
That is what real teamwork looks like.
We believe that technology saves lives only when the right people are ready to use it.
And after today, we are more confident than ever — this team is ready.
