Sweta Agrawal: Expanding Care for PNH Patients in Nepal
Sweta Agrawal, Program Coordinator of Nepal at The Max Foundation, shared International PNH Interest Group’s post on LinkedIn:
“Fortunate to help them get access to care in Nepal.
Each one has a different story to share living with PNH since years and the change this medication has brought in their lives.”
International PNH Interest Group shared a post on LinkedIn:
“IPIG is proud to partner with The Max Foundation to expand access to care for patients living with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria worldwide.
In countries like Nepal, physicians often faced significant barriers to treating PNH, including limited availability of specialized training, care protocols, and long-term disease
management resources for this rare and life-threatening condition.
Through this partnership, IPIG and The Max Foundation are helping address those gaps.
Together, they have developed international programs that equip healthcare professionals with the tools to better support those living with PNH, including guidance on infection
prevention, complication management, and long-term patient care.
Today, PNH training initiatives have expanded to four countries, and more than 21 patients have already received treatment through these efforts.
By building local clinical knowledge, the partnership is helping create a more sustainable path forward for those affected by PNH worldwide.”
