Pete Stibbs: Building a Successful Venous Thrombectomy Practice

Pete Stibbs, Senior Vice President, Global Medical Affairs and Medical Director at Argon Medical Devices, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“This weekend we had the privilege of hosting a succesful ‘Clots to Clear’ thrombectomy workshop and bringing together an outstanding group of physicians and colleagues for

ahighly engaging educational experience focused on advancing care for patients with venous thromboembolic disease.

Throughout the program, we explored the evolving understanding of VTE pathophysiology, current treatment trends, practical strategies for building and sustaining a successful

venous thrombectomy practice, and technical pearls that can help optimize procedural outcomes.

The discussions were thoughtful, collaborative, and centered around translating experience into better patient care.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the hands-on training experience, where attendees were able to work directly with thrombectomy systems while discussing procedural

workflow, access considerations, device mechanics, and real-world approaches to complex venous intervention.

A special thank you to Ilan Rzadkowolsky-Raoli, Wael Z. Tamim, Mel Ghaleb, and Charbel Y. Ishak for generously sharing their expertise and helping lead such

meaningful discussion and education.

Most importantly, thank you to all of our attendees who took time out of their weekend schedules to join us, contribute to the conversation, and invest in advancing education in VTE care.

Programs like these continue to reinforce the value of peer-to-peer education, hands-on learning, and open exchange as we collectively work to elevate thrombectomy practice and

improve patient outcomes.”
