Nicolas Gendron: More than a Research Fellowship – Leaving the Wagner Lab

Nicolas Gendron, Research Fellow and Hematologist at Boston Children’s Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“This is the End…

The end of an extraordinary chapter.

I’m leaving the Wagner Lab with what can only be described as ‘mixed feelings’:

Pride, a touch of nostalgia, and at the same time a genuine excitement about heading back to France for new adventures.

This is the end of my postdoc at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

These more than 2 years have been so much more than a research fellowship.

It was, as expected, an initiatory voyage.

Changes are coming.

A heartfelt thank you to Denisa Wagner, for her trust, her kindness, and her mentorship.

Thank you to all my colleagues at the lab Tianqi Wang, Nicolas Schommer, Caroline Pangbourne, Hadil Maadadi, Viktoria Elisabeth Maria Jung, Bruce Ewenstein, Simona Stella, Stéphanie Miceli for our conversations, the laughs, and the small victories celebrated together.

Grateful to stay connected with the team remotely!!!

Thanks to the ‘DVT team’ Estelle Carminita, Becky Zon for the discussions about animal models of DVT, surgical pro tips, and coffee…

And thank you to everyone I had the chance to meet throughout this Bostonian adventure those who opened doors, broadened my horizons, sparked smart discussions, or shared a burger and/or a couple of Guinness along the way.

See you soon for what comes next.”
