Barbara Lovrencic: Amplifying the Patient Voice at the EMA – Shaping the Future of ITP Care
Barbara Lovrencic, Browser Creator and Developer Assistant, ERP Manager at A.z. solutions s.r.l., shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Grateful to have taken part in the EMA workshop ‘Challenges in Drug Development, Regulation and Clinical Practice in Immune Thrombocytopenia’ on 30 June, representing AIPIT and the patient community.
It was a privilege to share the patient perspective alongside leading clinicians, researchers and regulators from EMA, FDA, PMDA and Health Canada.
What struck me most was EMA’s genuine openness to listening — patients were not just invited to attend, but truly heard as part of the conversation shaping the future update of the clinical development guideline for ITP.
Thank you to Daniela Philadelphia, Caroline Voltz-Girolt and the entire Haematology Working Party for creating a space where the patient voice carries real weight.
Days like this are the proof why patient advocacy matters, and why dialogue between patients, clinicians and regulators is essential to better care for people living with ITP.”
