Jecko Thachil: Chlorosis May Have Represented Iron Deficiency in the 19th Century
Jecko Thachil, Consultant Haematologist at NHS, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleague co-authored, published in The Lancet Haematology, adding:
“Chlorosis may have represented iron deficiency in the 19th century.
But despite the progress in medicine, iron deficiency itself has become a marker of unequal care rather than a minor biochemical abnormality.
