Jade Morrissey: Grateful to Present My PhD Research in Immunothrombosis at ISTH 2026
Jade Morrissey, PhD Candidate at Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, shared on LinkedIn:
”I’m grateful to have attended the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) Congress 2026 in Paris, where I had the opportunity to present a poster showcasing work from my PhD.
Coming into my PhD with a primarily immunology background, the congress was an excellent introduction to the field of thrombosis and haemostasis.
It was a valuable opportunity to learn from leading researchers, explore the latest advances in the field, and gain a broader perspective on how my own research fits within the rapidly evolving field of thrombosis and haemostasis particularly immunothrombosis.
Presenting the poster sparked several interesting discussions and provided valuable feedback that will help inform future directions of the project.
It was great to exchange ideas with researchers from across the field and gain new perspectives on our work.
A big thank you to my supervisor, Dr. Gemma Leon, everyone in the Preston Lab at RCSI School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), and our collaborators for their guidance and support.
Thank you as well to everyone who stopped by the poster to chat and share their insights.
I’m looking forward to building on what I’ve learned and seeing where the next stage of my PhD takes me!
Ths research is funded by Research Irelend, Science Foundation, and the National Children’s Research Centre.”
