Michele Spino Bolles: How Stroke Certification Standards Improve Patient Outcomes

Michele Spino Bolles, Executive Vice President at American Heart Association, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Mohammad R Alosta et al, published in International Journal for Quality in Health Care, adding:

”One of the most rewarding aspects of healthcare quality improvement is seeing proven standards translate into better patient outcomes around the world.

A new study from Jordan demonstrates how implementation of American Heart Association/American Stroke Association stroke certification standards was associated with improvements in care processes and outcomes.

The findings underscore the power of evidence-based care, multidisciplinary collaboration and continuous performance improvement to strengthen health systems and improve lives.

It’s an important reminder that quality has no borders.

Congratulations to the researchers and care teams who contributed to this work.”
