Breaking Down Barriers to Hepatitis Prevention and Care – ISBT
International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, on World Hepatitis Day, we join the global community in raising awareness of viral hepatitis and the importance of prevention, early diagnosis, and access to treatment.
Safe blood transfusion depends on robust donor screening, quality testing, and strong haemovigilance systems.
Together, these measures help protect patients while contributing to the global effort to reduce the burden of hepatitis.
This year’s campaign, ‘Hepatitis: Let’s Break It Down,’ calls for breaking down the barriers that prevent people from accessing lifesaving prevention, testing, and care.
With effective vaccines, diagnostics, and treatments already available, we have the tools to make a difference.”
