Tobias Tritschler: Evaluating Timing, Translation and Preparedness in COVID-19 Anticoagulation Management

Tobias Tritschler, Leitender Arzt at Insel Gruppe, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his collogues co-authored, published in JACC, adding:

“A long journey has come to an end.

This article brings together what we set out to do, but it also captures the challenges and precious lessons we learned along the way.

Our IPDMA shows that therapeutic-dose anticoagulation reduced the risk of organ support or death in noncritically ill patients hospitalized for COVID-19. More broadly, it illustrates how earlier coordination, data sharing, and evidence synthesis could have accelerated the translation of evidence into clinical practice during a public health emergency.

A heartfelt thank you to all investigators for your support, trust, patience, and commitment throughout this journey.

It was a privilege to work with you all.”
