Marla Selph: Reducing the Risk of Blood Clots While Traveling
Marla Selph, President at Selph Strategies, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Throwback Thursday
Some health stories are worth sharing more than once.
We had the opportunity to work with Vital Heart and Vein, Ugochi Iloka, and KHOU 11 to help educate viewers about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a serious condition that can develop after long periods of sitting, whether you’re traveling, working long hours, or spending hours in the car or on a plane.
As summer winds down and many people prepare for Labor Day travel, it’s a great reminder to:
- Get up and move every few hours.
- Keep your blood flowing with simple calf exercises.
- Know the warning signs, including swelling in one leg.
- Seek medical attention if something doesn’t feel right.
Great healthcare stories don’t end when they air.
They continue educating, answering questions, and helping people make informed decisions.
Proud to work alongside our clients and media partners to share information that can truly make a difference.”
