‘Caplacizumab-Enabled Treatment of Immune-Mediated Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura Without Plasma Exchange: Evidence, Patient Selection, and Practical Considerations.’
In this narrative review, we examine the evolving evidence for caplacizumab-based, plasma exchange–free management of immune-mediated TTP.
This approach may be feasible in carefully selected, clinically stable patients when combined with adequate immunosuppression, close ADAMTS13 monitoring, assessment of the early platelet response, and immediate access to rescue plasma exchange when required.
