Myth: Once you’re diagnosed, your life has to shrink around it.
Fact: As one of our community members shares in their story on our website: they’ve been ‘leading a more or less normal life… while taking care not to overdo things’, still enjoying mountain walks and family meals wherever they are in the world, even with a platelet count that’s yo-yoed for years.
Living with ITP often means adapting, not stopping.
Pace yourself, know your own count and symptoms, and build a life that works around the condition rather than shrinking to fit it.
