“We are facing a national blood crisis, with summer blood donations falling to a four-year low.
Your help is needed now to avoid surgery delays, postponed cancer treatments and strained emergency care.”

We have had an answer for this challenge for more than 25 years.
HBOC-201 (Hemopure) had an established FDA Expanded Access pathway, including emergency single-patient IND use, for life-threatening situations when blood was unavailable or transfusion was not an option.
The lesson is important: this was never technology and product problem.
It was also a mindset and system-design challenge.
Today, we continue advancing this platform with next-generation technology: a new BHOC biosimilar approach, supported by advanced SUT manufacturing, AI-enabled control systems, modular production and improved purification technologies.
BHOC is not a blood substitute.
It is an oxygen carrier designed as a bridge – a universal, immediately available solution to support patients when donor blood is delayed, unavailable or insufficient.
Combined with emerging logistics solutions such as drone delivery, or to have it in every EMS, we can rethink how critical oxygen support reaches patients and hospitals.
The goal is simple:
No patient should lose access to lifesaving treatment because compatible donor blood is not available.
