Mavis Agnes Kisakye: Building Sustainable Transition Pathways in Hemophilia Care

Mavis Agnes Kisakye, Executive Director of Haemophilia Foundation of Uganda, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Today, the Haemophilia Foundation of Uganda (HFU) Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) met with the Clinical Head of Internal Medicine and their team to establish sustainable pathways for supporting young adults transitioning into adult clinical care.

Our focus remains on building seamless care pathways, strengthening clinical capacity through continuous medical education, and ensuring that young adults receive continuous, comprehensive care as they step into adult services and taking decisive steps to ensure that no patient falls through the gaps during this crucial transition.

Together, we are advancing sustainable care for haemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders across Uganda.”
