Haemophilia care in India is undergoing a profound transition due to significant focus of Innovation hubs shifts to Rare Diseases Like Roche, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi , Pfizer.
The Convergence of low-dose prophylaxis (LDP), non-factor therapies such as Emicizumab and Concizumab, Extended half-life products and the emergence of gene therapy is reshaping the treatment paradigm and creating Unprecedented Possibilities for improving patient outcomes.
The market is therefore transitioning from a predominantly on-demand, factor-replacement model toward proactive, prophylaxis-led and increasingly factor-independent care.
However, India’s progress remains uneven. While pockets of excellence exist across leading haemophilia centres, significant gaps still persist in diagnosis, prophylaxis penetration, affordability, access, laboratory capability and continuity of care.
