Gregory Lip: PFO Closure in Younger Patients With Cryptogenic Stroke

Gregory Lip, ESC Council on Stroke Chair, shared a post on X about a recent article by David M. Kent et al. published in JAMA, adding:

PFO is present in approximately 25% of adults and is a common cause of cryptogenic stroke in younger patients.

This review addresses the role of the RoPE and PASCAL scores and current evidence for PFO closure.”
