Maia Meier: Muhiba’s Story of Courage, Resilience and Hope With Type 3 VWD
Maia Meier, Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Maia Letitia Fitness, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Some stories deserve to be read in full.
Muhiba’s is one of them.
Living with Type 3 von Willebrand disease in Pakistan, Muhiba has endured severe bleeding episodes, repeated hospitalizations, limited access to treatment, and moments when doctors told her family to prepare for the worst.
Yet through it all, she never stopped moving forward.
Her story is one of extraordinary courage, resilience, and hope, and a reminder that behind every diagnosis is a person whose voice deserves to be heard.
Thank you, Muhiba, for trusting Project Elevate Her: Women’s Stories with your story.
Read Muhiba’s full story through the World Federation of Hemophilia.
May Muhiba’s story inspire greater awareness, deeper understanding, and hope for every woman and girl living with an inherited bleeding disorder.
Shared with permission through the World Federation of Hemophilia.”
