“Another interesting application in blood bank automation using Erytra Eflexis.
We recently performed an automated serial antibody titration using DG Gel Coombs.
One of the interesting features is that Erytra Eflexis can perform titration up to 1/2048, allowing a wider range of antibody titers to be assessed within an automated workflow.
In this particular examination, the final antibody titer was 1/32.
This capability can support more standardized, consistent, and traceable antibody titration, while reducing the variability associated with manual serial dilution.
Automation in immunohematology is not simply about speed – it is about standardization, reproducibility, and transfusion safety.”
