“This is a true story.
I bumped into Pat Romano at the gym a couple of weeks ago. The man has a biceps routine that is second to none.
I’ve been copying it. Beyond the guns, Pat is one of the kindest and smartest people you could ever hope to meet.
One thing led to another, and today we ordered some human bone marrow aspirate and made platelet-rich plasma. Go figure, but that wasn’t enough…
Pat brought samples over to our friends at Incite Health, Inc. to run flow cytometry to look at nucleated cells, CD34+ progenitor cells, and what else might be hiding behind a simple platelet count.
Curiosity meets a small, agile lab and an entrepreneurial mindset. No committees. No bureaucracy. No bullsh!t. Just interesting questions and the freedom to go find the answers.
Our dear friend and collaborator Valecia Vanderlick is still at the lab (almost 8PM) to run our t equals 4-hour samples.
