This has been an extremely rewarding process. Thankful to the patients who participated in the studies that led to this approval.
Hearing patients talk about how rusfertide improved their lives provided the energy that got this therapy across the finish line. Happy to have been able to play a role.”
Naveen Pemmaraju, Professor, Department of Leukemia and Executive Director – Cancer Medicine at UT MD Anderson, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Breaking good news this evening to share! We just found out – Rusfertide (PTG-300) approved. MPNSM Polcythemia Vera
I was proud to co-lead this program from PI standpoint along with Dr Andrew Kuykendall as lead.
I am super proud to see this moment for our patients with PV, and for a brand new class of drug therapies Hepcidin Mimetics to become an option for PV Treatment, and to continue to serve as senior global PI leader for the program.
What a moment for our MPNSM field.”
