Gopal Patidar: The ISBT Haemovigilance Working Party Sharing Knowledge and Promoting Best Practices

Gopal Patidar, Chairperson at Haemovigilance Working Party, International Society of Blood Transfusion, shared International Society of Blood Transfusion’s post on LinkedIn:

”The International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) Haemovigilance Working Party has launched a new initiative aimed at sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in haemovigilance.

This effort underscores a strong commitment to patient safety and blood safety.”

International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Mary Townsend et al., published in Vox Sanguinis, adding:

”The ISBT Haemovigilance Working Party has put together some useful tools and resources to support haemovigilance implementation worldwide.

Building or strengthening a haemovigilance system can be challenging, particularly when practical resources are limited. Whether you’re looking to establish, strengthen or expand a haemovigilance system, these resources can support implementation at every stage.

The WHO User Guide, ISBT Haemovigilance Tools Library and International Haemovigilance Tools Collaborative Project bring together practical guidance, implementation tools and expertise to support safer transfusion worldwide.
