Dhargam Aljebouri: A New Milestone for Transfusion Education in Iraq
Dhargam Aljebouri, Laboratory Director at Clinical Immunology, Allergy and Transfusion Medicine – Specialized Immunosciences Laboratory, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”I was pleased to meet with Yaqoob Al-Mousawi, Director of the National Blood Transfusion Center, Baghdad, Iraq, together with colleagues, to discuss the scientific and organizational preparations for our upcoming International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) Academy-supported educational activity: Advancing immunohematology and Transfusion Safety in Iraq: A One-Day Case-Based Educational Workshop for Transfusion Professionals
During the meeting, we reviewed the key components of the programme, including the scientific sessions, participant selection process, educational objectives, evaluation strategy and post-workshop learning follow-up.
This activity represents an important milestone for transfusion medicine education in Iraq, particularly as it is the first hashtag#ISBT Academy-supported educational activity in the country since the establishment of national blood transfusion services.
I am grateful to Yaqoob Al-Mousawi and the National Blood Transfusion Center for their leadership, support and commitment to strengthening professional education in transfusion medicine.
