Jessica Mele’s Clot Story: Recognizing the Hidden Risks of Deep Vein Thrombosis
World Thrombosis Day shared a post on X:
”A patient presenting with persistent leg pain was initially negative for DVT on ultrasound. Days later, worsening pain led to the discovery of a DVT.
Risk factors included prolonged immobility, birth control, prior fracture, and undiagnosed Factor V Leiden. This is a reminder of the importance of vigilance in recurrent symptom evaluation.”
