World Federation of Hemophilia shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Advocacy and partnership are helping strengthen care for people with hemophilia and other Bleeding Disorders in Malta.
During a recent visit through the WFH Hemophilia Organization Twinning Program, WFH President Cesar Garrido and Regional Manager Karine Kocharyan joined the Malta Bleeding Disorders Society (MBDS) and its twin, The Haemophilia Society UK.
Together, they met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health Ian Borg to recognize Malta’s co sponsorship of the WHA79 resolution on global action to advance health equity for people with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.
Discussions focused on improving access to extended half life treatment for people with hemophilia B and strengthening multidisciplinary care.
The WFH also joined a symposium on care for women and girls with bleeding disorders and MBDS’s annual awareness and fundraising swimming race. Treatment For All.”
