“I had the privilege of speaking at the European Haemophilia Consortium (EHC) conference in Istanbul on Saturday, 3 October.
I gave two presentations: one on the importance of physiotherapy for everyone living with a bleeding disorder, and another on musculoskeletal involvement in people with von Willebrand disease.
What makes EHC conferences particularly meaningful is the diversity of voices in the room.
Alongside medical specialists and healthcare professionals, patients and patient-association representatives bring highly relevant, practical questions about everyday care and management.
It was a real pleasure to share experiences with them and to deliver presentations that were perhaps more practical and grounded in real life than usual.
