Hayat Saeed: Excited to Share Our Publication on the FGL1–Hepcidin Axis in Iron Homeostasis and Disease
Hayat Saeed, Medical Laboratory Sciences Graduate, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Clinica Chimica Acta, adding:
“I am excited to share our second publication in Clinica Chimica Acta titled FGL1–hepcidin axis in iron homeostasis and disease!
In this review, we delve into the molecular cross-talk between fibrinogen-like protein 1 (FGL1) and hepcidin, exploring how this novel hepatokine axis regulates iron metabolism and its diagnostic potential in disorders of iron homeostasis.
A special note of gratitude to our supervisor and principal author, Dr. Muhammad Saboor, for his invaluable guidance throughout this research, as well as my dedicated co-authors: Raghad Abdulrahim Fayaz, Shamsa Nabi, Mshael Mohammed and Abeer Mohammed.”
