Ahmad Gharehbaghian: New Blood Transfusion Centers Open in Iran
Ahmad Gharehbaghian, Managing Director at Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Yesterday, on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization, two backup centers for Tehran Regional Blood Transfusion Centet; under the title of Comprehensive Blood Transfusion Centers (Professor Dr. Jahangir Ahmadi Center at the headquarters and the Tehranpars Center in eastern Tehran), which each of then can collect the blood, performance the screening and blood group testing, preparation blood components and dispatching blood products to the nearby hospitals, were officially inaugurated, alongside the renovation project of the Sa’di Blood Donation Center in Zanjan and the Blood Donation Center in Zarandieh County, Markazi Province as virtual.
These inaugurations took place in the presence of the Honorable Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, to realize the civil defense preparedness program.
It is hoped that with the operation of these centers, we will witness continuous qualitative and quantitative improvements in the commendable and noble activities of the Blood Transfusion Organization.”
