”After a full day of science at ISTH 2026, my recommendation is simple: leave the conference center for a while and head to the banks of the Seine.
Paris in July is at its best along the quais: open-air terraces, food trucks, floating bars, live music, and endless opportunities to continue scientific discussions in a relaxed atmosphere.
To help fellow ISTH attendees, I’ve prepared a map showing the locations of some of my favorite riverside spots, together with the nearest metro stations.
Péniche Marcounet – a historic barge facing Île Saint-Louis, with live music and one of the most authentic Parisian summer atmospheres.
