Amin Omar Khlifat: Reading the Laboratory Clues to Differentiate Types of Anemia
Amin Omar Khlifat, Medical Laboratory Technici at Al-Ghaith Medical Laboratories, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Anemia is something we come across quite often in the laboratory, but it’s not always as simple as just saying ‘the hemoglobin is low.’
The type of anemia can give us a lot of clues about what’s going on, especially when we look at the RBC size, MCV, blood film, and other laboratory findings.
I made this infographic as a simple way to review the main types of anemia and some of the important laboratory findings that help us differentiate between them.
Hope you find it useful, especially for students and medical laboratory professionals.”
