”Congratulations to our very own Dr. Dante Disharoon for his research on PlateChek being selected as the cover feature of Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) April 2026 issue!
PlateChek is a Dielectric Coagulometry based unique microsensor device that can specifically and sensitively detect platelet-associated hemostatic dysfunctions using 10 uL volume of whole blood sample.
This innovative R and D led by Dante Disharoon also involved collaborative team comprising Sina Pourang, Christopher Delianides, Calvin Abonga, Hanif Alizadeh, Michael Suster from Pedram Mohseni lab and Selvin Hernandez from our lab at Case Western Reserve University Department of Biomedical Engineering, Case School of Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, along with Sanjay Ahuja at Innovative Hematology, Inc. and Matthew D. Neal at Pittsburgh Trauma and Transfusion Medicine Research Center.
The research was supported by Defense Health Agency Research and Development-Medical Research and Development Command CDMRP program.”
