Anisha Navkudkar: TMH Blood Centre Received the Ravi Reddy Award 2026 at ISBT Congress

Anisha Navkudkar, Professor in Department of Transfusion Medicine at Tata Memorial Hospital, HBNI, Mumbai, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“We are deeply honoured and humbled to receive the Ravi Reddy Award 2026 at the 39th International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) ISBT Congress at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This recognition is a testament to the collective dedication, hard work, and commitment of the entire team at the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) Blood Centre towards excellence in patient care, education, research, and advancement of Transfusion Medicine.

We dedicate this award to Dr. Bharucha, whose vision and pioneering efforts laid the foundation of Department of Transfusion Medicine at Tata Memorial Hospital. Her legacy was ably carried forward by Dr. Rajadhyaksha, and continues to thrive under the inspiring leadership of Dr. Priti Desai , whose guidance has helped shape the department into a centre of excellence.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to every member of the TMH Blood Centre, including our technical staff, resident doctors, nursing staff, faculty members, administrative personnel, and colleagues. This achievement belongs to all of them. Their unwavering dedication, teamwork, and pursuit of excellence have been instrumental in making this recognition possible.

We are sincerely grateful to Dr. Ravi Reddy, the award committee, and ISBT for this prestigious honour. To receive an award bearing the name of a stalwart whose contributions have profoundly influenced Transfusion Medicine worldwide is a privilege and an inspiration.

This award motivates us to continue striving for excellence, advancing research and innovation, strengthening transfusion services, and contributing to the growth of our specialty.

Thank you to our mentors, colleagues, and well-wishers for their constant support and encouragement. We share this recognition with each one of you.”
