Arsene Mekinian Announces New Expert Clinic for Refractory Hemato-Immunologic Diseases

Arsene Mekinian, Professor of Medicine at Sorbonne University, President of Santé Arménie, posted on LinkedIn:

”Dear Brothers, Dear Sisters,

We would like to inform you of the creation of a dedicated specialized consultation within the MINHEMON group, a national FAI2R reference center dedicated to the management of complex hematoimmunological pathologies in person or remotely by video.

This consultation has been specifically set up to accommodate patients with atypical, severe or refractory pictures, particularly when the question arises of an immunological mechanism associated with clonal haemopathy or acquired somatic mutations.

Main indications (non-exhaustive list)
• Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS/CMML) with inflammatory or autoimmune manifestations
• Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) complicated by immune dysregulation
• Lymphomas associated with systemic inflammatory or autoimmune manifestations
• Suspected or confirmed VEXAS syndrome
• Severe or refractory systemic autoimmune diseases, especially when hematopoietic clonality or somatic mutation is suspected (UBA1, TET2, DNMT3A, ASXL1, etc.)

Objectives of the dedicated consultation
• Integrated clinical, hematological, immunological and genetic evaluation
• Targeted discussion of specialist examinations (cytometry, myelogram, targeted or expanded NGS)
• Differential diagnosis of borderline or unclassifiable shapes
• Proposal of personalized therapeutic strategies, including innovative options when relevant

Requests for guidance can be sent with:
• a structured clinical summary,
• recent biological assessments,
• the haematological and genetic reports available here will be provided by Dr Vincent Jachiet, Dr Jerome Hadjadj, and Dr Arsène Mekinian
