”Advancing Stroke Care Through Education: A New Opportunity for Clinicians and Researchers
Stroke remains one of the leading causes of deHematology, Hemostasis, Health, Hemostasis Today, Hemostasis News, Medicine, Thrombosis,
ath and disability worldwide.
Improving outcomes requires more than advances in technology—it requires clinicians and researchers who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and leadership to translate evidence into practice.
The University of Bern, in partnership with the European Stroke Organisation, has announced applications for the European Stroke Master; a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Stroke Medicine, with registration open from January to August 2027.
This part-time programme (2028–2030) is designed for healthcare professionals working in stroke care and offers comprehensive training across:
- Stroke pathophysiology
- Acute ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke management
- Primary and secondary prevention
- Neurorehabilitation
- Translational and clinical stroke research
With an international faculty of leading stroke experts, predominantly online delivery, and a three-week on-site component in Switzerland, the programme provides an excellent opportunity to develop advanced expertise while remaining in clinical practice.
As stroke care continues to evolve, investing in postgraduate education is one of the most effective ways to strengthen health systems, improve patient outcomes, and prepare the next generation of stroke specialists.
For clinicians considering a career in stroke medicine, this programme is certainly worth exploring.
Scholarships are also available for eligible applicants.”
