Denise M: Two Partners, One Mission – Securing the Future of Blood
Denise M, RN – Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Program Coordinator shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A Heartfelt Thank You to Blood Donors
Blood is a precious, finite resource.
Every donation represents an extraordinary act of generosity, compassion, and commitment to helping others, often complete strangers.
As healthcare professionals, we have a responsibility to honor that gift.
Patient Blood Management (PBM) helps ensure that every donated unit is used for the right patient, at the right time, for the right reason.
Through person-centered, evidence-based, and value-based care, including anemia management, blood conservation strategies, patient clot management, and appropriate transfusion practices, we work to optimize patient outcomes while preserving our valuable blood supply.
Blood donors provide the gift.
Patient Blood Management helps steward the gift.
Together, both contribute to our shared goal:
optimal patient care and a sustainable blood supply for those who need it most.
To every blood donor: Thank you for your selfless contribution and for making life-saving transfusion therapy possible.”
