Drazen Perkov: Complication Management in Endovascular Thrombectomy

Drazen Perkov, Assistant Professor at School of Medicine University of Zagreb, shared a post on LinkedIn:

”Honored to be part of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) CIRSE European Trainee Forum European School ofInterventional Radiology onsite course on Endovascular Treatment of Acute Limb Ischemia – happening right now in Maribor!

Over two intensive days, I had the privilege of sharing insights on:

  •  Acute Thromboembolism in the Lower Limb – navigating the clinical complexities from presentation to intervention
  •  Complication Management in Endovascular Thrombectomy – because mastering what can go wrong is just as critical as the procedure itself
  •  Pharmacological Management in Acute Thrombosis – the essential role of thrombolytics & anticoagulation in optimizing patient outcomes

A hands-on course like this is where real learning happens – at the bench, with devices in hand, working through real-world scenarios alongside outstanding colleagues from across Europe.

Thank you to our brilliant local hosts Dr. Jernej Lučev and Dr. Silva Breznik, and to the incredible faculty – Edit Dósa, Maria Tsitskari, Luca De Paoli, and the whole team – for making this such a rewarding experience.

Interventional radiology is advancing rapidly, and events like this ensure we stay at the forefront – for the benefit of our patients.”
