‘Rare diseases are not given to those who deserve them. They are given to those that can handle them.’
If you’re newly diagnosed, or you’re a parent, family member, or caregiver searching online, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by worst-case stories and statistics.
Don’t let the internet convince you that your future is already written.
Living with a rare disease isn’t easy, but it often reveals a strength that many people will never have to discover within themselves.
The same is true for the families and caregivers who stand beside them every step of the way.
Our community is filled with people who have built careers, raised families, pursued their dreams, and lived meaningful lives despite the challenges.
Keep going.
You are stronger than you know.”
