Helen YeonJu Chung: Reflections from My 1st World Federation of Hemophilia Congress
Helen YeonJu Chung, Senior Manager in Regional Marketing at Sysmex Asia Pacific, shared on LinkedIn:
”My first time attending the World Federation of Hemophilia Congress (WFH) – and it left a strong impression.
What stood out most wasn’t just the science, but the people.
Clinicians, lab professionals, patients, and advocates from all over the world, all in one place.
What I hadn’t seen before was patients attending scientific sessions – fully engaged, asking questions, and eager to learn.
That level of curiosity and ownership was powerful to witness.
You could feel a shared intent to turn knowledge into better haemophilia management and everyday quality of life.
It also reinforced something important for me: in diagnostics, we go beyond delivering results.
We are part of a broader ecosystem alongside pharma and healthcare providers, contributing to better monitoring, decisions, and peace of mind for patients.
Grateful to have been part of this experience with my knowledgeable Sysmex colleagues and KOLs – still a lot to learn, but moments like this remind me why it matters.”
