Jan Sloves, President and Consultant at Vascular Imaging Professionals LLC, reposted Francine Freitas Fernandes’s post on LinkedIn:
“Comprehensive Duplex Ultrasound of the Lower Limb, Iliocaval and Pelvic Veins in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland 19 to 20 October 2026
We have just completed two intensive days of advanced venous ultrasound training together with Aleksandra Jaworucka Kaczorowska and Prof. Houman Jalaie welcoming 11 participants for a program combining focused lectures, supervised hands on scanning of patients with complex venous disorders, and case based clinical discussions.
The course covered a broad range of topics across the venous system, including:
- Superficial and deep venous anatomy and pathology
- Primary and recurrent varicose veins
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and post thrombotic changes
- Iliocaval and pelvic venous assessment
- Venous obstruction and pelvic escape points
- Treatment oriented reporting and clinically informed decision making
A central focus throughout the workshop was the integration of ultrasound findings with clinical presentation, helping participants develop a more systematic approach to complex venous assessment and the information needed to guide treatment decisions.
A special and heartfelt thank you to Aleksandra Jaworucka Kaczorowska, for hosting this program at her centre in Gorzów Wielkopolski and for making these two days possible.
My sincere thanks also to Aleksandra and Prof. Houman Jalaie, for their friendship, shared expertise, and commitment to excellence in the field of venous disease.
I am truly grateful to have been part of this unique program alongside you both.
Sharing knowledge, exchanging clinical perspectives, and working together to advance the understanding and practice of venous ultrasound is something I value deeply.
An extra special thank you to Samin Amin Lavasani for coordinating this workshop.
Thank you Patrycja Matysiak and the entire team at Expert Clinic for the genuine care, passion, and dedication you bring to every patient.

And, of course, thank you to all our participants for your enthusiasm, engagement, and willingness to learn and share throughout these two days.
It was a genuine pleasure to be part of this experience with you all.
