Jessica Garcia: Thrombin Generation in Type 3 VWD With an Inhibitor on Emicizumab
Jessica Garcia, Pediatric Hematologist, Hemostasis and Thrombosis Specialist at UT Southwestern Medical Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Honored to present at International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) this year in Paris.
Our poster highlighted thrombin generation patterns in a patient with type 3 VWD with inhibitor on emicizumab prophylaxis, including both in vitro spiking with recombinant FVIIa and in vivo peri‑operative data.
A great discussion on how global assays can capture (and sometimes challenge) what we expect clinically.”
