Katrina Louise Manalaysay: In Your 20s, You Might be Given the Opportunity to Donate Blood for the First Time

Katrina Louise Manalaysay, Risk Management Services (Global Compliance) – Associate Analyst at EY, shared a post on LinkedIn:

”Today, I crossed something off my lifelong bucket list: my first blood donation.

In your 20s, you might be given the opportunity to donate blood for the first time. If you’re eligible, consider saying yes.

I’ve always known that donating blood can save lives, but experiencing it firsthand reminded me that sometimes, a small act of giving can mean everything to someone else.

You may never know whose life your donation will touch, or meet the person who receives it. But knowing that a little of what you have could give someone another chance makes it all worthwhile.

Deeply grateful to EY GDS PH for organizing this blood donation drive and giving me the opportunity to turn a few minutes of my time into something that could mean a lifetime to someone else.

My first donation, and hopefully not my last.”
