We had the opportunity to work with Vital Heart and Vein, Ugochi Iloka, and KHOU 11 to help educate viewers about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a serious condition that can develop after long periods of sitting, whether you’re traveling, working long hours, or spending hours in the car or on a plane.
As summer winds down and many people prepare for Labor Day travel, it’s a great reminder to:
- Get up and move every few hours.
- Keep your blood flowing with simple calf exercises.
- Know the warning signs, including swelling in one leg.
- Seek medical attention if something doesn’t feel right.
