Muhammad Aqib Faizan: Pulsed Field Ablation Improves Procedural Time Compared to the Conventional Ablation in AF

Muhammad Aqib Faizan, Clinical Intern at District Headquarter Hospital, MTI, DIKhan, shared Tooba Rehman‘s post on LinkedIn, adding:

“Publication

Pulsed Filed Ablation is associated with improved procedural time as compared to the conventional ablation in AF , thus implying lower risk of complications and improved safety profile owing to reduced catheter manipulation.

Great team workwork!!!”

Tooba Rehman, Medical Doctor at Khyber Medical University, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in BMC Cardiovascular Disorders, adding:

“Excited to share that our latest research has been published in BMC Cardiovascular Disorders.

Efficacy and safety of pulsed field ablation versus conventional thermal techniques for atrial fibrillation: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

In this meta – analysis of 4 RCTs ( n equals one thousand two hundred ninety – four), we found that pulsed field ablation (PFA)

demonstrates comparable efficacy and safety to conventional thermal ablation techniques, with the added advantage of shorter procedural time.

Grateful to all co-authors and collaborators who contributed to this work.”
