Neil Blumberg: Honored to Open The Annual BMSS Conference
Neil Blumberg, Professor, Director of Transfusion Medicine and the Blood Bank at the University of Rochester Medical Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I have the privilege of opening the annual BMSS conference tackling the challenging subject of the consequences of transfusion therapy in hematologic diseases.
My talk will focus on the toxicity of transfusions and the diseases where transfusion is still absolutely necessary or at least the standard of practice.
Others will follow with detailed approaches to how to reduce the dependence on transfusion in hemoglobinopathies, stem cell transplant, etc.
The price is right: it’s free.”
